Recreational Activities : Bicycle Tours
The Vail Valley hosts a variety of mountain bike roads and trails for all ability levels that will allow you to explore the surrounding mountains. Paragon Guides provide the guides, bike, helmet, lunch and vehicle support for amazing Bicycle tours ! Full Day (6-8 hours ), Half Day - (4 hours ). Ride into the heart of the Colorado Rocky Mountains. Our popular scheduled 5 Day Holy Cross 100 trips circumnavigate the Holy Cross Wilderness ending each day in the ambiance of a high alpine hut.
Recreational Activities : Mountaineering
Paragon Guides trips go into the Eagles Nest Wilderness. Camp is set in the upper reaches of the Pitkin Creek Valley. With a backdrop of high peaks and a pristine Alpine Lake, you will be introduced to the fundamentals of rock climbing and mountaineering. Depending on the length of the trip; rock climbing, rappelling, snow climbing, low impact camping and the mountain environment will be covered. The focus of these programs is to give each person a basic understanding of climbing and the systems that make it safe. We stress understanding mountain climbing concepts and provide plenty of time on the rock. Camp life is enhanced with hearty meals, and a sharing of knowledge of many aspects of backpacking, climbing, mountaineering and Natural History.

Rock Climbing is made easy at Paragon Guides. Our guides will introduce you to the gear, gracefulness and challenge of the vertical world. You will learn to appreciate protection systems and the dynamics of rope handling, while developing a sense for comfortably moving on rock. Full Day- (6-8 hours), half Day(4 hours), Custom Day Trips and Two Day Workshop also available.
Recreational Activities : Snowshoe Tours
Join Paragon Guides at their cozy Backcountry Cabin at the Arrowhead Ski Area for an enjoyable snowshoe tour experience. Part of the original homestead, wood heat and a rustic look make for a warm comfortable setting. A picnic lunch or wine and cheese cap off the day with good friends. Professional guides, snowshoes, poles, gaiters and snack provided.
Recreational Activities : Trekking
Enjoy a unique afternoon with the companionship of a curious llama! Enjoy Trekking with the gentle llama as you hike through aspen forests, wildflower meadows and take in the views of surrounding peaks. Your guide will enhance your adventure by describing seasonal flowers, wildlife, topography and geology as you enjoy this personalized hike and bountiful lunch, served amidst the spectacular mountain landscape.
