Vail Gay Ski Week opens Jan, 2010

Come and enjoy the wonder and magic of Vail, Colorado with the launch of the event “Out on the Mountain” which will be hosted in Vail, Colorado from January 27-31, 2010. This much anticipated event welcomes the gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender community for the fun and festive week of skiing and winter fun! This year’s event will be recognized in the same arena as the other nationally known gay ski events.

Events will include, but are not limited to group skiing, apres ski events, a martini social, a scavenger hunt, a mountaintop picnic, competitions, and more.

Vail boasts three distinct areas of the mountain, including three terrain parks, seven bowls and 5,289 acres of terrain. It is a staggering seven miles wide, and on an average day, there are only two skiers per acre, and on a busy day, only four!

Vail is consistently rated the #1 ski resort in North America with 38 feet of powder last season and is the largest single ski resort on the continent with an incredible 5,289 acres.

Enjoy 31 lifts, the gondola, 3 terrain parks, one super pipe and one half-pipe and 193 trails!
