Welcome to the Julian “JuJu” Marley and Uprising Band musical show on June 5, 2010 at Vail Village, Colorado. Show presented by Bud Light Mountains of Music and powered by Gibson.

Julian “JuJu” Marley has been around Reggae music all his life. Since recording his first song at age five at the Marley family home in Kingston, Jamaica, Julian has become a skillful, self-taught musician, mastering the bass, drums and keyboards. Julian’s music, a combination of hypnotic beats and soulful vocals is inspired by his life and spirituality. It incorporates the roots-Reggae sound that Julian has made his own, infused with street-energy hip hop, bubbling dancehall and a smooth combination of R&B and Reggae. Julian has toured extensively and worked with his brothers Damian and Stephen covering Bob Marley and the Wailers songs and producing platinum-selling albums.

The 2010 Teva Mountain Games will once again be highlighted by free concerts at the Bud Light Mountains of Music concert series. Powered by Gibson and kicking off at 7pm, Checkpoint Charlie comes to life with live music. It’s a perfect way to wind down from the day of outdoor fun at the Teva Mountain Games and gear up for a night of festivities in Vail Village. On Thursday, June 3, it’s U2 tribute band, Under A Blood Red Sky, with their interpretation of some of the world’s most popular rock music. And on Saturday, June 5, it’s Julian “JuJu” Marley son of legend Bob Marley, to perform a new generation of roots Reggae that capivates all.
