What are you doing on Tuesday nights this summer? Bud Light is stepping up to cure the summertime blues again this year with with their annual FREE Hot Summer Nights concert series in Vail, Colorado. Every Tuesday night, all summer long, the Gerald R. Ford Amplitheater is the place to be! Shows start at 6:30 pm, and the celebration continues on through the night!

June 16 - This year’s line-up promises to delight music lovers across the board. The concert series kicks off with JJ Grey and Mofro on June 16. The New York Times describes JJ Grey and his band as “Rich, funky swamp grooves…Grey is a singer-songwriter [who] celebrates life’s most fundamental joys with unforced talent and deep feeling.” Be sure to be there to enjoy this soulful, gritty Southern Rock talent!

June 23 - Next on the schedule is the The Dynamites (featuring Charles Walker) on June 23. Charles Walker was there in the very beginning, giving birth to the Funk revolution during the 60’s at the Apollo Theatre, working his trade opening for Wilson Picket, Etta James and even James Brown! If Funk is your thing, be sure to schedule time for The Dynamites this summer!

June 30th - The charming and pleasant folk-pop duet of Jack O’Neill and Cary Pierce first appeared as Jackopierce back in 1988. Bud Light has them scheduled to entertain you on June 30th. Acoustic music fans will want to be there!

July 7th - Frogs Gone Fishin’ continues the free concert series on July 7th, these Colorado natives sharing their addictive beats in soul, reggae, funk, rock and blues. A Public Pick winner, you’re gonna love these guys!

July 14th - Then come the sweet Bluegrass harmonies of Oakhurts on July 14th. You don’t have to be a Bluegrass fan to enjoy these talented entertainers!

July 21st - Queen Nation, a tribute to Freddy Mercury and his megastar band, Queen, appears on July 21st.

July 28th - In from the UK are the New Mastersounds. These four Brits will be sharing their modern take on vintage soul-jazz, funk and rock on July 28th.

August 11th - Looking for something original? During the hottest of summer nights, head on down for Bud Light’s Hot Summer Nights of Dance: Street Beats on August 11th. These guys recycle all sorts of things to give you a foot-stomping beat!

August 18th - The series finishes off with what the Boston Globe refers to as “the Al Jarreau of Reggae”; Eek A Mouse, performing on August 18th, 2009.
