Nova Guides Fly Fishing Schools

WHERE:
Fly Fishing schools are located on property at the Lodge at Camp Hale in the historic Pando Valley. Our Trophy Trout Lake will serve as the main backdrop to your class but we will utilize local waters like the Eagle River to teach entomology, wading and different casting/ fishing techniques.

WHEN:

  • June 1, 2013 Saturday & June 2, 2013 Sunday
  • June 15, 2013 Saturday & June 16, 2013


Classes are 8-5 daily and include Lunch (you are welcome to stay longer on your last day and enjoy the fishing)

WHAT:
This course specializes in trout fishing here in the West and is an excellent place for a beginner to gain confidence in the basic skills required in fly fishing. Resource, Technique and Etiquette are highlighted throughout this very informative 2 day class. You will learn all the basic casts needed to chase Rocky Mountain Trout as well as some specialty casts like spey, double haul, aerial mends, slack line casts, distance and more. We will take you step by step using our dry land course and continued teaching on our Trophy Trout Lake and the Eagle River. You will also learn about entomology, knots, reading water, terminal tackle, fly selection, approach, presentation, wading, photography, fighting/landing and releasing fish and helpful web resources.

WHAT’S INCLUDED?
An enthusiastic, knowledgeable instructor that really enjoys sharing their passion for fly fishing. All terminal tackle, flies, waders/boots and rod/reel combos are available for your use. If you have your own gear we encourage you to bring it along. We will be using several different rods in different sizes during the class as we show you a variety of techniques (2wt rod –Spey rod all have their day).
Additional instructors will be added when 6 or more people are in class.

Tigiwon Snowmobiles Tours

Our Tigiwon location is opening for 2 hour and 1 hour tours running at 8:30am / 11:00am  / 1:30pm daily beginning Saturday, December 8.

The 2-Hour tours stop at our Yurt for warming and hot beverage break. Great views of Vail’s back bowls. Only 5 miles off I-70 through Minturn.

Kids 8 and under are FREE!!!!!
